The War of Jenkin's Ear by Michael Morpurgo
Toby Jenkins has never liked going to school. He's not a great student, he's not a great athlete, and the other guys pick on him.
It gets much more interesting, though, when a cute girl shows up in the school kitchen and the new boy confesses that he's Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ, come again to bring peace to the world. Can Toby believe him? How will the others react to the things he does?
No one else seems to be very interested in peace - what changes will this boy bring to the school?
